Agneepath New Age Limit
The entry age for all new recruits in the Armed Forces has been fixed as 17 and a half – 21 years of age as per the Agnipath Scheme. Cognizant of the fact that it has not been possible to undertake the recruitment during the last two years, the Government has decided that a one-time waiver shall be granted for the proposed recruitment cycle for 2022.
The Government has issued notification regarding this and has mentioned that this is only a one time waiver of age limit. So, for this year, the upper age limit for Agneepath recruitment has been increased to 23 years.

What is Agnipath Scheme?
Candidates between the age of 17.5 years and 21 years will be inducted into the services for a four-year tenure. There are a total of 46,000 posts to be filled via this agnipath recruitment scheme in the Indian Armed Forces i.e. Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Airforce. Candidates those who will get selected for the Agnipath scheme will be known as Agniveers.
